J.McCarthy was Established in 1974 with one truck and soon grew to a multi disciplined company, providing civil engineering, plant hire and haulage.

We are currently a partner with the Environmental Agency Framework contract for River and Sea Defence in the Wales and West region along with Carillion JM and Atkins.

J.McCarthy are also involved with several framework contracts with Network Rail in the fields of Bridge Scour Protection and coastal protection. Recently completing a Sea Defence contract with McAlpine Rail at Long Car Park, Penzance for Network Rail.
